I should've done this awhile ago, but when my eyes scanned the boards I was only looking for one thing: the fanfiction forum. So I posted my Toby fanfic and completely forgot to introduce myself.
Well *clears throat*...
Hello, all you Toby fans! My name is April and I've been a Toby fan/supporter since I saw The Covenant (when it first came out). I saw Feast of Love a few months ago (on it's US release day) and loved it! I thought Toby was excellent...perfect as Oscar. I read the book first and I was very happy when they finally decided to make the book into a film.
Anyway, I'm 29 years old and not afraid to admit that I have a fangirl crush on the 24-year-old blonde Brit named Toby Hemingway. Last summer, I wrote the first Toby Hemingway fanfiction entitled "Prelude to Being Mrs. Hemingway". I was hesitant at first about sharing it because I didn't know how it would be received. Most people don't write real-person fics and in the sea of Reid fic authors, I felt like the "black sheep". Well, it's now November and my story is actually complete! I received a lot of support and positive feedback...and I even made some online friends a long the way! I'm proud that I was the first person to write and share a Toby fic and that I inspired others to write about him. I've never written a fanfic in my life except a LotR piece that reads more like a script than an actual story. I was more worried that people would criticize my writing skills rather than the fact the story is about Toby.
You can check out Prelude in the fanfiction forum. It's a romance/drama and it's 16 chapters plus an epilogue. Some chapters are broken into two parts because LiveJournal is restrictive and only lets you post so much text. One day, I'd like to create a website just for my fic...so it will have its own home. ;D It's very special to me and I hope as Toby's fanbase grows, that more people find their way to reading it.
I'm a very friendly person, so if you ever want to discuss writing, books, fanfiction, movies, Toby...LOL! Pretty much anything, feel free to send me an email or visit my journal and leave a comment. I also want to say that I'm so grateful this site exists! Toby is a great actor and I forsee a promising future for him in Hollywood or even theatre. I'm so happy that Ellie decided to create a true fansite for him. Thanks, doll.
